This coat, or paletot, is made of silk velvet with a quilted silk lining and wool batting.
The coat has extensive lace trimming which is worked around metal bases. There is thread evidence of a collar having been attached at the neckline.
There is a single hook and eye closure at the neckline coupled with frog closures down the front.
The lining is machine quilted in an imperfect diamond pattern.
There is one inside left-hand pocket.
