Skirts
I've sewn several Contra Dance skirts for myself as well as other dancers (both female and male... all contra dancers are welcome to wear skirts, and many of the best guy dancers do!) So far, I've only used one pattern, a vintage 1950s Simplicity circle skirt pattern. It makes for a nice amount of twirl! I try to pick very un-vintage fabrics to use on them so it doesn't read as a 1950s circle skirt (I'm not always successful with that!)

Dance Pants (pattern coming soon!)
I also sew my own "dance pants" for wearing under skirts. They are very loose and breezy, and I sew them out of very thin cotton. I find having something on under my skirts to prevent chafing, which makes me a much happier dancer! I drafted these myself and will try and get instructions up soon!
Here's a pair of these pants being flashy under a dress:
