This white apron dates from the Edwardian Era (early 20th century). It is made of a fine sheer cotton. The ties are 4" wide. The apron skirt is made of one width of 24" wide fabric gathered onto an 18" band. The waistband was made for a 26" waist. There is a 5 3/4" turned hem at the bottom, above which is a section of 5/8" open work. Above the open work is 6 pintucks, a space, and then 6 more pin tucks. There is a pocket at the right hand with 3 pin tucks and more openwork for decoration.
