I've made one dress off of an original 1933 pattern. I used a pink linen check for the main body of the dress, and white cotton for trim. The buttons are original pink glass.
This picture doesn't show the dress very well, and the belt is hanging from the neck:
With it, I wear a reproduction girdle, slip, and bra. I've worn it both with original stockings and original black oxford shoes, and with white socks and reproduction saddle oxford shoes.
My hat is also vintage.
