This child's coat is made of a very fine twill woven wool. It closes with one button at the waist and one hook and eye at the throat. There are three rows of gathering stitches in the front of the skirt and two in the back. The whole garment is machine stitched except for the buttonhole and the trim. The coat is 22" long at the center front.
The trim is embroidered.
The lining is cotton and there is a thick batting for interlining. The coat is flat lined with a separate sleeve lining.
The neck is finished with a bias strip. The cape is lined and has three rows of gathering where it is attached, creating a ruffle at the neck.
